Life Drawing lessons are back for 2022!

Learn the art of life drawing from a professional teacher.

Over 4 weeks you'll go from learning the basics of life drawing to producing an artwork worthy of an exhibition!

Our professional art teacher will help you capture the classic nude by developing and refining your own style, using both classic and modern techniques.

This is a great opportunity for artistic expression as well as partaking in a community experience. Express your artistic side and meet budding artists and new friends.

It’s that time of year again, the daffodils are starting to bloom, the days are getting longer and the sun is finally starting to peak through those dark Melbourne clouds. It’s also that time of year when you start wishing you hadn’t had that third helping of pudding…. Here at The Hen and the Coq Events we are getting ready for the silly season and that includes our models! They are hitting the gym and getting ready to show off their fine physiques! One part of that is healthy eating and one of their go to drinks is the Green Smoothie!

I don’t know about you but I love Green Smoothies, they give you so much energy, help shift stubborn kilos and make your skin glow from the inside out.

Green smoothies are a great way to wake up, you actually feel virtuous downing one.

This avocado smoothie is no exception! 

This recipe has all the nutrients from its ingredients that you need to get going in the morning: protein, healthy fats, and replenishing electrolytes. The superstar ingredient is avocado. Avocados boast a lovely dose of omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are vital for brain development and nerve function and have Vitamin K which is like the love drug of skin.

 Green Smoothie Recipe

This smoothie has everything you need to get you going in the morning— healthy fats, electrolytes and protein. Adding avocado to smoothies gives you a lovely dose of omega-3 essential fatty acids, which are vital for brain development and nerve function. Not only that, but the avocado also assists the body in absorbing nutrients from the greens.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup coconut water, unsweetened

1 ripe pear, cored

1/2 cup mango, frozen

1/4 avocado

2 tablespoons hemp hearts

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend spinach and coconut water together until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients and blend again.

You can either blend in hemp hearts or sprinkle on top— whichever you prefer!

LGBTQI Unicorn Parties!

Love really is Love and at The Hen & the Coq Events we've always supported LGBTQI equal rights and marriage equality. 
We've been running our LGBTQI Unicorn Life Drawing parties (our pre-wedding "Hens/Bucks" experience) for the love of art and the beauty of the human form since November of 2016. Life Drawing is an experience any group can enjoy. It combines classic art, the appreciation of the naked body and creativity.

It's a great way to bring friends together and enjoy a unique experience – something a little different from the everyday.
